Celebrated early 20th century house

The Walter Burley Griffin Society is a highly respected authority on the lives and works of the Griffins.  Its recently published book, Visionaries in Suburbia: Griffin Houses in the Sydney Landscape, states:

”Following its careful restoration over more than 30 years, the Fishwick house has emerged as one of the most significant and celebrated early twentieth-century houses in Australia."

In making this assessment the book specifically cites as being distinctive the building's relationship to the surrounding landscape, its size and complexity of design and its many innovative technical and decorative features.
